The boys basketball team was invited to attend a gathering on Wednesday, 9 November, at the Howick Recreation Centre to meet the NZ Breakers.

The boys were so excited as they have worked hard all year, competed in the ABSL after school tournaments, and were completely deserving.

There were eight of the NZ Breakers in attendance and we were fortunate enough to be selected to have a quick game against them. This was quite terrifying for the boys as the Breakers generally towered over them, however, they had a great time and even scored some goals!

It was a great opportunity for the boys to meet some of the players that they aspire to be, and also a great motivation to keep up their hard work.
