Howick Intermediate School Enrolment Zone:
All students who live within the home zone
described below (and shown on the attached map) shall be entitled to
enrol at the school.
Home Zone Boundary Description: Starting at the intersection of Springs Rd and
West Tamaki Rd, head along East Tamaki Rd turning right into Accent
Drive until Te Irirangi Drive (including Kordel Place and Beale
Place. From there head across country to the intersection of
Baverstock Rd and Chapel Rd.Turn left into Kilimanjaro Drive (left
hand side only) until Millhouse Drive. Head right along Millhouse
Drive (left hand side only) until Whitford Rd. Head along Whitford
Rd (western side only) and Cook St (western side only, but including
Minerva Tce) turning east into Sale St. Along Sale St until the
coast (including all streets leading off it). (Note: Granger Rd,
Island View Tce, & Rangitoto View Rd are included). North-west along
the coast until the end of Mellons Bay Rd. From there head inland to
the intersection of Gills Rd and Bleakhouse Rd, so as to exclude
Hasler Cresc, Colmar Rd (and streets leading off them) and include
Montressor Place, Paisley St etc. Head West along Gills Rd (south
side only) until Bucklands Beach Rd. Turn south into Bucklands Beach
Rd (East side only) until Pakuranga Rd. Head along Pakuranga Rd
(South Side Only) until Cascades Rd. Head south along Cascades Rd
(both sides excluded) until the Pakuranga Creek. Follow the creek
until the Ti Rakau Bridge and head east along Ti Rakau Drive until
Harris Rd.Head south along Harris Rd and Springs Rd (east side only)
until East Tamaki Rd. Both sides of all boundary roads are included,
unless otherwise stated.
Proof of residence within the home zone will be
required: Each year, applications for enrolment in the following year from in-zone students will be sought by a date which will be published in a daily or community newspaper circulating in the area served by the school. This will enable the Board to assess the number of places which can be made available to students who live outside the home zone.
Out of Zone Enrolments:
Each year, we will accept a number of out of
zone applications from families who wish to send their children to
Howick Intermediate.
The
number of spaces available for out of zone students will vary from
year to year.
The number
of spaces is dependent upon the number of in-zone applications that
we receive. We welcome applications from families who live
outside our zone. If you would like your child to attend Howick
Intermediate and you live outside of our zone, we would encourage
you to register your interest as soon as possible.
