School History

Our school, Howick Intermediate, is located in Howick, East Auckland, and is situated close to beautiful beaches, modern malls, and transportation. We are a co-educational school that caters to students in the middle years of schooling, specifically those aged 11 to 13 years old.

Our school has a rich heritage and a long tradition of educating highly achieving students who go on to have a positive impact on both the local and international community.

The School’s motto, ‘De Bon Vouloir Servir’, translated: ‘To Serve With Goodwill’, links back to the motto of Lord Howick (also known as Earl Grey).

Our logo incorporates the border on Lord Howick’s coat of arms, the ships on which the Fencibles arrived and crosses which signify the early churches.
